Hello World! And Hi Ivan!

I’m Lucas. I studied CS and Econ at Harvard.

I’m a community organizer interested in AGI who founded harvard.co and a dozen nonprofits. Previously, two of my startups were acquhired, and two ICOed.

Most recently, I led Growth at Believe.app, where I'm proud to have distributed over $5M in credits to startups and helped generate over $10m in profit over my two month stint.

Resume

Background

I grew up in NY, and went to Harvard. I took a gap year to cofound DAOHQ, the world's first DAO marketplace, which was acquhired in 2023. Over Spring 2023, I incubated an AI protocol at a16z’s Crypto Startup School, which I was bought out of. That summer, I helped found https://cerebralvalley.ai and run hackathons with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Hugging Face.

In my junior year, I took 20 courses, and I have worked on over 20 research projects for research partners like Stanford GSB Venture Capital Initiative, McKinsey, and Steve Ballmer's USAFacts. I also organized a campus-wide datathon with the metaLAB and supported by the Harvard Data Science Initiative (making me one of the youngest researchers at Harvard many times).

I’ve organized over 30 hackathons:

Thons

Over the summer of 2020, I founded Erevna, which hosts research projects and hackathons for over ten thousand students. Fall 2021, I worked with the Census Bureau, the metaLAB @ Harvard, and Opportunity Insights, where I helped write a paper covered on the front page of the New York Times and other newspapers. One initiative (of a dozen that I helped found) under Erevna, Policython.org, resulted in the creation of hundreds of policy briefs, including research that reallocated ~$20b+ in federal funding (the second stimulus check).

In my free time, I like reading, playing board games, meeting new people, trying new things, and running -thon events. I’m passionate about building platforms to help people find their people. OpenAI's Alexey Guzey recently listed me as someone who is going to change the world; still figuring out how!
